A turnkey decommissioning project has been awarded to AGIX Energy BV in France.
The transaction’s scope comprises the acquisition and demolition of 13 Nordex N90 2.3 and 2.5 MW units from 3 wind farms. New Vestas equipment will be used to repower the wind turbines.
AGIX Energy BV will begin working on a rather complex scope at the beginning of 2023, working at 2 wind farms concurrently with 2 cranes and 2 dismantle crews. Due to the tight deadline, the project owner will be able to send the greenest kwh possible into the European grid prior to the construction of new wind farms.
Sales of old wind turbines for full re-installation are moving forward at a steady clip. We will make every effort to ensure that every purchased unit has a second life and a sustainable future.
